Why HIPPY works...
Home visiting delivers early education and support to families. Through stand alone programs or in partnership with center-based services, home visiting educates families and beings them up-to-date information about health, child development and school readiness as well as information that connects them to critical services. HIPPY serves as a networking agency for families of the children identified as having needs; and to develop, provide, and administer appropriate in-service training for all personnel involved in serving HIPPY families.
The program is offered at no cost to the families.
Home visiting is a bridge that links the resources of the community to the parents, and empowers them to build a better future for themselves and their children.
HIPPY knows and understands that a parent is the child's first and most important teacher.
